GREYHOUND FOUND! WHERE WAS HE???

ANOTHER COOL START FOR THE NATION!

MINIONS ROCK LOCALLY, STATEWIDE AND INTERNATIONALLY!

IS THIS A GREAT NATION OR WHAT?!?!!

SHARKMAN GONE FOR NEXT TWO KK-TdG'S? OH, THE HUMANITY!
The Nation, ready to rock!

Galesburg, Mi. - The phone rang off the hook in the News Room at Belo News after the last edition went to press!

Tips and leads came in on the whereabouts of that legendary rider, Greyhound, faster than a bunch of vampires on the only giraffe attending a Vampires Convention!
Somebody please start taking the selfie shot!!!

The first lead came in reporting that Greyhound had been seen at Wings Stadium with Taylor Swift! However, immediately after, a report came in that he was seen having dinner with members of the Olympic Cycling Team at a Mexican restaurant.

Much later, more reports flowed in that Greyhound was at Bell's Brewery enjoying some lager. Oh, the humanity.

Subsequent investigative efforts revealed the facts that Greyhound had actually gone to the dark side!

Wait,....what you say?

Yes, it was learned that he had decided to go mountain bike riding at the Fort on Opening Day!!! What the.......!

Though apologetic, Greyhound did not have an excuse other than the wind and has thus been sanctioned by the Commissioner of Cycling and fined to purchase koffee for the Sharkman for the foreseeable future.......
Super Trooper was back!

Now, back to our regularly scheduled, though shortened story as the Editors of Belo News are out in Santa Fe, New Mexico covering Sharkman's riding and were under the gun to get this edition out!

As dawn broke cool and bright over the Shark Cove, our intrepid hero, the Sharkman, was ready to rock once again. Though as cold as Opening Day, this Saturday featured a bit less wind in a more favorable direction.

Mad Dog showed up at exactly 8:00 A.M. Sharp and the two riders found Reb just as they were exiting the Cove.

The ride over was uneventful, but full of the kind of banter that the early season brings.

At the start, the three riders were greeted by Gazelle Girl, Brewman and Super Trooper, who was back after a long hiatus, getting ready for the 24 Hour Challenge and in mid season form!

Greyhound was also there, looking a bit sheepish, but ready to rock.

After, yet another, failed attempt at a selfie, Sharkman called for the start and the Nation pulled out of the Station, knowing that Gazelle Girl and Reb would be dropping off near Gazelle Girls home as she had to be with her Mom and Reb had to get back to kids baseball.
Gazelle Girl holding court!

Toast was in great form and led Sharkman out to the first sprint of the day.

The winds were out of the northwest, but not enough to bother the peloton as it made its way around that field of dreams known as the KK-TdG.

It was obvious that Super Trooper was in great shape and spent a lot of time pulling the Nation through the course along with Mad Dog.

The Nation again, formed up a great pace line after the Digital Divide and played nice through the final sprint to the finish, which was closely contested to the end.

The Nation got another great quote from Toast when he noticed there were only 6 riders left for koffee. He stated, and we quote..."There will be a sprint to buy koffee with only 6 riders left!"

This was a sprint Belo News could report and it was handily won by Brewman who was doing the buying! Thanks Brewman!
Greyhound returns from the dark side!

A discussion on the whereabouts of Greyhound ensued.....

It was another great day in the saddle and you won't want to miss this weeks ride!

Sharkman will be gone for a couple of Saturday's but the ride goes on!

This Saturday, May 4, 2019

Looks like the temps will be a bit warmer so launch time will be moved up a bit!

Launch Time - 8:30 a.m. - SHARP!

Wait, is that a flip phone?

Brewman wins sprint to buy koffee for 6!!!

Shark Cove, Mi. - The news started coming into the News Room, hot and heavy, of the exploits of several of the mighty Minion Nation! And what great news it is!!!

Yankee Springs, Mi. - The first report in was that Yeti Boy, that "force of nature," and Sharkman's wing man, had finished just 10 seconds off the podium in his age group at the Yankee Springs Time Trails after having been off the bike for over 2 weeks!

What the .........!?!

This man is an animal! Though he was disappointed he didn't make the podium and could not be consoled that he was out by a measly 10 seconds, he was already planning his training schedule for his next event! Congratulations Yeti Boy, you did the Nation proud!
Is that beer in that Camelbak?

London, U.K. - Then a report came in from that legend of the peloton, Zyckmann (aka Fabio) who had completed the London Marathon! The icon of the biking world who lost his mind for a bit and decided to do another marathon was quoted as saying "damn, that's a long way! Those last 6 miles were brutal! Can't wait to concentrate on biking from now on! Will be pubbing it up for a week in the Cotswold and wandering aimlessly thru fancy gardens with Marsha trying to walk without a limp! See you in 2 weeks!" Congratultions Zyckmann, you did the Nation proud!

Mesa, Az. And in a final story, Stroker, the well known and world ranked swimmer and sometime Minion, did fantastic at the National Swim Meet in Mesa Arizona.

Stroker set a new Record (broke one of his own) even though he was the oldest swimmer in his age group! Stroker took a second, fourth and seventh in individual events!

Congratulations Stroker, you did the Nation proud!

NEW AND IMPROVED TOUR de TAYLOR THIS YEAR!

THE DIRTY DONUT RACE, SATURDAY JUNE 9, 2019!

Belo News
June 9, 2019

Shark Cove, Mi. - Hey Minions! Do you like donuts? Do you like riding gravel roads? Do you like team events? Do you like riding for a good cause?

Well, Team Taylor has something for you so listen up!

Iceman sent Belo News a message indicating that Tour de Taylor has morphed into something new and exciting... and it has the Nation written all over it.   Team Taylor has joined forces for a new event here in SW Michigan called the Dirty Donut race, so take it away, Iceman.........

Ride Bikes, eat donuts, have fun on the safety of gravel roads.  Start finish  US 131 Dragway in Martin. Date June 9.

While this is a race, it is meant for everyone...and any kind of bike can work.  The more you eat, the more time is deducted.  Some of the Minion Nation could turn in a NEGATIVE time!!!  Oh the humanity!

There are a couple other donut races around the country and they get upwards of 3,000 racers, so we are hoping this grows into something ridiculously big and fun.

More info at https://dirtydonutrace.com/

Proceeds still go to Make A Wish via Taylor G's Dirty Dozen Club.  So we still push money to that great cause.

What can you do?

Once the Nation has begun its routine,  could you post about the ride in your email blog and talk it up a bit in the peloton.
